I noticed a near complete set of Fletcher's facsimiles on ebay with a buy price of 150.00. A real bargain. The seller notes a few missing pages which I could supply scans of from one of my sets. Hoping it will go to a good Miltonist household. I am not the seller.
Regards, John

"Scarce set of Harris Francis Fletcher's John Milton's Complete Poetical Works Reproduced in Photographic Facsimile. This is an edition published by The University of Illinois Press , Urbana, Il in 1943-1948. All four vols are solid and clean inside with typical ex-lib marks. Each volume had the title page and table of contents torn out in the discard process?! I manage to retrieve two title pages from a waste paper basket and they are in their place but not attached. The cover has vol 1 has some wrinkles on the spine with a bit of discoloration on the lower half of the spine. The lower corner of the front cover is slightly bent. Verso page shows the limited edition number of this set which is important. Vol 2 Has light wear on the lower corners front and back covers and is missing the title page and contents page.It still has the page indicating the number of the volume. The front cover has some discoloration on the lower corner.A tiny bit of discoloration on the back cover also. Vol 3 Has the torn title page but the content page was removed and I could not retrieve it.Cover quite good without wear. Vol. 4 Cover good without wear but does have a spot at the top that appears rubbed and is lighter than the original color. Also lacking title page and table of contents page. In the future missing pages could be reproduced from another set and used to repair this great set. Please do not make offers. I have a low starting price. "
