Call For Proposal.
Due date: IMMEDIATELY – September 30.
Milton in Translation, contracted with Oxford University Press for completion in early 2016, represents an unprecedented collaboration between an exciting line-up of scholars across six continents that demonstrates the breadth of John Milton’s (1608–74) international reception, from the seventeenth century through today. This book collects in one volume new essays on the translation of Milton into twenty-three languages written by an international roster of experts on translations of Milton. This will be the first collection of its kind dedicated to the canonical poet. The global impact of this volume promises to be wide with contributors and topics from China, France, and Japan to Hungary, Israel, and Poland to Australia, the U.K., and the U.S.
The co-editors, Angelica Duran, Islam Issa, and Jonathan R. Olson, are seeking a contributor for one chapter:
• Korean translations of Milton’s works, individual or survey
Inquiries and/or 500-word abstract for a chapter of 6000-word (text only, excluding Works Cited and footnotes) with a completion date of December 2015 should be sent immediately to Angelica Duran at <duran0 at purdue.edu>* * ‘0’ is a zero.
Many thanks, all.
