I should have added to my first reply.  Creaser finds the opening line of PL uniquely aberrant in demanding six beats.  Maybe that's the quote and line you're remembering.  ("Service" 300).

Colleagues,

Is it true that William Hunter once said that there was only one line in PL that was not decasyllabic? And if so, where? and which one?

I realize, of course, that the query is complicated by arguments about how certain lines should be scanned.
