Friends and colleagues,

Plans are now well afoot for *The King James Bible and its Cultural
Afterlife*, a conference at The Ohio State University, May 5-7. Details are
available at http://kingjamesbible.osu.edu/. Though the scope of the
conference is broad, covering the literary reception history beyond the UK
and well beyond the early modern, a number of the speakers and topics will
be of particular interest to list members. Speakers include David Norton,
Stephen Prickett, Gordon Campbell, Jason Rosenblatt, Leland Ryken,
Raymond-Jean Frontain, and many others.

We are still accepting last minute proposals for spaces remaining in
roundtable seminars on the topics listed below. (These are the topics likely
of most interest to early modern scholars, but others are listed on the
website.) These seminars, SAA-style for those who know that conference,
include both junior and senior scholars, engaging in a moderated roundtable
discussion at the conference, based on papers circulated in advance.
Interested participants should send titles and brief abstracts to me as soon
as possible.

Of course, attendance at the conference is open to all, whether formally
participating or not. Registration and hotel information is available on the
website.
