Dear Angelica,
It may be a bit argumentative for your needs, but Christopher Hill's _The
English Bible and the Seventeenth-Century Revolution_ is interesting, and
there's the older work by Lawrence Stone, _The Causes of the English
Revolution, 1529-1642_. A good collection of primary source material is
_Revolutionary Prose of the English Civil War_ from Cambridge's English
prose tests series.
