Unlike the universalist religions of Christianty and Islam, you won't
find anything in the Jewish tradition like "all men are brothers"
until the Enlightenment-influenced German reform movement of the
nineteenth-century. And no sentiment could be more unassimilatably
antithetical to caste-ridden Hinduism.
Carol's question could as meaningfully be rephrased as: "how many
(modern) religions DON'T preach hatred of one's enemies--active or
passive?" I suspect that the answer would be (except for the obvious
moderates) almost none.
