[Milton-L] Fruitless to me

Have I missed, on this matter, comments about the pun on 'fruit' in the
first line of the epic? That pun, I suppose, is by Milton and so is a
'fallen' pun but he is in a sublime, inspired, soaring vein; he
implicates the heavenly Muse itself (as a co-author) in his pun which
contains the entire enterprise of the poem? Where would you place it in
this taxonomy of puns? dw
