[Milton-L] teaching practices

When i was in the first year composition course way back in the olden 
days of yore, I wrote an entire in-class essay on "Barnaby" the 
Scrivener.  Fortunately for me the instructor knew enough to ask me 
viva voce to name the character.  My whole career has depended on her 
wisdom ;)
