THE BRITISH MILTON SEMINAR
BMS 29, SPRING MEETING,  Saturday 20 March  2004

FINAL NOTICE


Venue:  In   Birmingham  Central Library  on  Saturday 20 March 2004. There
will be  two  sessions, from  11.00  am to 12.30 pm and from 2.00pm to 4.00
pm. 

Programme: (am) Sarkhar Kuhnova (Charles University) 'Voice in Milton's
Masque'; Lauren Shohet (Villanova) 'Tradition and the Individual Talent:
Philip Pulman's Paradise Lost'  (pm) The afternoon  will be given over to a
discussion of Paradise Lost Book III, initiated by short presentations from
Nicholas McDowell (Exeter), Iain McClure (Royal Holloway), and William Poole
(Cambridge), who will also chair this session.

The  Library  is situated conveniently close both to  New  Street Station
and  to large carparks. A map of central  Birmingham  is available   on
request.  The seminar is open to academic and  related staff  and to
postgraduate students, so do please draw it to  the attention  of  others
who may be interested.

Colleagues who may wish to use the Library collection while in Birmingham
should note that the catalogue is now available online at
