I understand that the CSO just had their say with all of the 1L's
regarding job searches for next summer.  Although Dec. 1 is a month
away, this is, as I'm sure you know, a very busy time, therefore we
offer this list of Richmond law firms for your use.  Hopefully this will
save you some research time.  Most if not all of these firms have web
sites - I suggest Googling them and saving the link as a favorite.  If
you're organizationally obsessed as I am, you'll even create a separate
folder for all the links!

 

FIRMS WITH SUMMER ASSOCIATE PROGRAMS - RICHMOND

*	Really hard to get into as a 1L since programs are typically
designed for 2L's, but see McCandlish Holton, which has targeted 1L's in
the past

*	Consider contacting and volunteering to work at these locations
simply for the experience and to make contacts that will be useful in
the future.  This list is not all inclusive, but meant to plant the
seed...

Local County Attorney Offices (Henrico, Hanover, Chesterfield etc.)

Local Courts

And so on....

 

FINALLY

*	TIP:  log in to Simplicity often and check the regular job
listings (NOT just the OCI stuff).  Many positions are posted here that
you may find interesting.
