.As far as I know, anyway, Uriel is still nowadays much prayed by the
followers of esoteric, New Age doctrines etc.
Milton, as usual, does it on his head. He uses the "forbidden" angel
as a character in his poem, but more as a sci-fi entity than an
esoteric power. In PL Uriel deals with Astrophysics, not the
illumination of the soul.
