Also the the Other Eden  by Andrea Wulf and another person has 7 
gardens. i have not seen that.
She is working on the Founding Gardeners: Washington, Jefferson, 
Adams, Madison, & Franklin   (2010)
Of course Horace Walpole -- Modern Gardening
Thomas Whately - Observations on Modern Gardening.
Of just garden, but in this heat read about it. kemmer
