[Milton-L] Helen Wilcox's Cambridge U.P. edition of George Herbert

I hope the moderator of this list will allow me to draw attention to a
review article triggered by Helen Wilcox's edition.  This is in *Style:
Minds and Literature. Vol. 42, Number 4, Winter 2008, pp. 547 - 560.   *

 I do so in order to alert members of the list, or those who might be,  who
are mentioned in it, mostly in connection with Helen Wilcox's misreading of
*Vanitie (I).   They are: *

Mario Di Cesare, Ann Baynes Coiro, Helen Vendler, Michael Schoenfeldt,
Richard Strier, Jonathan Goldberg, Harold Skulsky, Elizabeth Clarke, Stanton
J. Linden, Helen Vendler, Brian Vickers.

I agree with Mario Di Cesare on some points and disagree on others; I agree
entirely with Harold Skulsky, Elizabeth Clarke and Brian Vickers; and I
trust the others will acknowledge the errors of their ways.

Yours in the interests of (to quote Harold Skulsky's phrase used on the list
recently) "professional integrity."
