To Terrance Lindall and everyone at the WAH Center:

Congratulations on what looks to have been a spectacular event! I wish
I could generate as much excitement about Milton here on campus!

To the list:

I didn't like McGrath's article either, but I do think that we should be
careful to separate what we didn't like in the tone of some of his
remarks from the event on which he was reporting. I think Lindall's
work is lovely, very much worthy of its subject. I haven't seen Kirmss'
sculpture, so I can't really judge it, but I certainly celebrate the
spirit the led to its creation. The whole thing over at the WAH Center
looks to me like it was good, celebratory, and generous fun. I'm less
sure about McGrath (or at least about a few of his remarks), but even
that is better then an event like Milton's 400th being ignored.

Well, that's my one post for today!

Happy New Year to those who are celebrating that tonight!

Louis
