[Milton-L] Milton defamation in this morning's NY Times

Thanks, Alan. (I'm recovering from recent eye surgery, and can't see
fine details with any clarity at the moment).

Believe it or not, the _Times_ just checked with the "artist," who
confirmed that it's supposed to be Milton, "Prince of Poets"!

Since when did Milton have a pointy beard--unlike Charles I, who
sported one most of his life?

The sculpture bears a far more striking resemblance to the king than
to his opponent--and I've just sent them portraits of the two so that
they can see for themselves.

That still doesn't excuse the rest of the "facts"--even if the
sculptor is, shall we say, a little misguided?

Best to all,

Carol Barton
