[Milton-L] Milton defamation in this morning's NY Times

The NY Times article Roy Flannagan cites is entirely irresponsible,
from the sculpture it identifies as Milton ("A sculpture of John
Milton by Arthur Kirmss"--which is clearly the head of Charles I--or
does McGrath think Milton wore a crown?) to its characterizations of
his relationships with his wives and daughters, etc.

It pretends to be tongue-in-cheek, and ends up just being (ignorantly)
cheeky.

I hope someone has responded to it appropriately.

Best to all,

Carol Barton
