Carol, I nearly posted this myself, but I wasn't sure of Peter's query. I think that he was asking where the illustration is now located, which the online source doesn't provide:

"Location
          Private Collection"

Peter, are you looking for the location of the illustration, namely, what private collection?

It's correct, Peter (image number,
anyway). Try this link: http://www.bridgeman.co.uk/search/s_results.asp?order=1&view=2&page=1&port_id=&stype=all&lview=2&lpage=1&search=John+Milton

  Image

Hello Everyone,

I'm hoping someone on this list can help
me track down the whereabouts of Arthur A. Dixon's illustration, "Blind Milton
dictating his immortal poem." The problem is that the source given by the
Bridgeman Art Library is incorrect (here's the link to the image: http://www.bridgeman.co.uk/search/view_image2.asp?image_id=281059).
It's not in Newnes Pictorial Book of Knowledge, and they have no
interest in tracking down where the image comes from. Nor does the illustrator
have a catalogue of his works.

Any aid would be greatly
  appreciated,

pch
