[Milton-L] Reading Samson Agonistes

I'm writing from within the point of view of the narrative of Judges,
but I think the Canaanites were driven out, not the Philistines, so
either way a Philistine presence would be an invading presence. All
the non-Jewish tribes surrounding Israel at that time did not
necessarily identify with one another.

I don't mean for this to be direct or indirect commentary on anything
happening today. In fact, I think it's largely irrelevant to what's
happening today. The most pertinent history for the current situation
begins with the end of WW I. So I don't think any of this is at all
interesting in the light of current events.
