details are attached below.

The College of Arts and Humanities is pleased to announce its
2008 competition for postgraduate studentships and bursaries for students
who are following full-time or part-time study in one of the College¹s
schools on or before 1st September of this year. These College awards are
offered in addition to the competitions administered by the national
Research Councils, externally funded studentships and awards offered by
individual Schools at the College of Arts and Humanities, Bangor University.
Each full studentship (MPhil/Ph.D) awarded will be worth c. £10,000 p.a.
(pro-rata for part-time students): payment of UK/EU tuition fees (to the
value of £3,300 for non-EU students) and maintenance allowance. Studentships
are available for the duration of the registration period for M.Phil/Ph.D
courses at Bangor.

There is also an additional competition offering one-off
bursaries towards the cost of tuition fees for those enrolled on any
postgraduate course in the College of Arts and Humanities at Bangor on or
before September 2008. All award-holders of studentships and bursaries will
enjoy the benefits of the College¹s portfolio of professional development
courses, discipline specific training, teaching experience and inductions
into the funding environment for the Humanities.
