[Milton-L] off topic question

Last week about 8 members of our dept got via USPS an unsolicited and obviously self-published book titile "One Persian's Pathway: A Novel Based on a True Story." Enclosed was a ltter from the author, Jim Price, offering 50 free copies for our department and offering to come to campus for free to talk to students about it.

He is obviously well off - the book is well printed and bound, and if he ever sells it, it will go for $25.00 - quite a bargain for 500 pages.

I have not actually started to read it - that will be my treat for exam week.

I'm curious if any of you or your colleagues were also sent copies.
