Is it possible that Princess Diana (Lady Diana Frances Spencer) was a descendant of Alice Spencer, Countess of Derby, for whom "Arcades" was written?  I have done some looking in the DNB, but there do not seem to be any connections there.  If there were a distant link, it would be an interesting tidbit to mention to students.
