Welcome Back! Thanks to everyone who came to the meeting last night! We
have exciting news - RENEW and Sierra Club have combined, and are now one
group called the RENEW/Sierra Club Student Coalition.

We are going to hit the ground running this semester, and we have a few
events coming up this week:

Wednesday, August 27 (tomorrow): Governor's Commission on Climate Change -
Encouraging Governor Kaine to reduce emissions in Virgina by 30% in 2025,
instead of his proposed 7%. Registration is at 4:30 at VCU. Email
carly.vendegnaramirez at richmond.edu if you're interested in going.

Thursday, August 28: CAB Student Organization Fair
Be sure to stop by the RENEW/Sierra Club Student Coalition table. We'll be
selling tee-shirts and handing out information (and fun surprises).

Our first event will be this Monday, September 1st. We will have a
gathering with food and fun, followed by an introduction to the club. It
will take place at 8pm in the Think Tank. Bring all your friends!
